The Letter of I John
The letter of I John was written between A.D. 85 and 90 from Ephesus, before John’s exile to the island of Patmos. Many believers were conforming to the world’s standards, failing to stand up for Christ and compromising their faith. John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote this letter to encourage believers to live a life of faithfulness and to encourage the church to grow in genuine love for God and for one another.

The Living Word

The Living Word class continues a series on 1 Corinthians where Paul deals with a number of problems in the Corinth church including disunity, disorder, moral laxity, unhealthy asceticism, theological confusion, and improper worship. In addressing these problems which were exacerbated by some who thought themselves more spiritual and knowledgeable than others, Paul provides guidance for us as we seek to glorify God by living in harmony with fellow believers.
