The Great Commission

And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
– Mathew 28:18-20 (ESV)
The Village Church has a rich foundation and focus on missions and shares wholeheartedly in the mission of our denomination, The Christian and Missionary Alliance: We desire to know Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King and to complete His Great Commission.  Our gifted and diverse congregation is active in supporting the ministry opportunities unfolding before us around the world, the greater Fort Myers area, and here at Shell Point Retirement Community.
This video — C&MA Missions Explained — provides a fuller understanding of the mission work of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.

We are dedicated to spreading the Gospel across the world. Our Missions Committee leads the congregation in its commitment to:
.  Prayer
.  Missions education and updates
.  Building relationships with                        international workers
.  Encouraging participation in                   worldwide missions
.  Promoting financial support for               missions
The Village Church receives a special benevolence offering which is then administered by the Benevolence Board and used to respond to community needs. We distribute funds monthly to our local mission partners. The Benevolence Board also periodically disburses funds to other individuals and organizations as needed. Many of our congregation volunteer regularly with these local missions partners, impacting lives and sharing the love of Jesus in action.
The Village Church has an active and committed ministry to the approximately 2,500 residents of Shell Point and the over 1,100 employees that care for and serve them. Beyond providing a church home open to all right within the Shell Point campus, we reach out to those experiencing challenges with their physical, emotional or spiritual health in numerous ways.
